Creating Custom Layouts
Step 1: Create a New Layout
- Tap the Layouts button in the top-left
- Tap the + button to create a new layout
- Enter a name for your layout (e.g., "FPS Game", "Minecraft")
Step 2: Add Controls
- Buttons: Add from the palette; resize, position, and tap to map to a key
- Joysticks: Add from the palette; resize, position, map each direction (up, down, left, right)
- Touchpad: Add for mouse/cursor and in-game camera movement
- Left and Right regions: Add for left and right single/double clicks and long press
- Scroll Wheel: For vertical/horizontal scrolling
Step 3: Map Keys
- Enter Mapping Mode
- Tap a button or joystick; which allows you to map it
- Press any key on your Mac's keyboard
- Buttons are mapped to a single key and Joysticks are mapped to 4 keys(up, down, left, right)
- The key(s) will be captured and assigned to that specific button or joystick
Note: Custom layouts require iKontroller Gold subscription. The default layout is free and supports up to 10 controls.
