Setup Guide

  1. Install iKontroller on your iPhone/iPad
  2. Open the app and enter your username
  3. Grant Local Network permission when prompted: Settings → Privacy and Security → Local Network → Enable iKontroller
  4. Ensure your iPhone/iPad and Mac are on the same Wi-Fi network, Cellular network or connected via USB-C/Lightning cable.
  5. Navigate to "Device Pairing" and wait for your Mac's username to appear in the device list or simply perform a manual refresh by tapping the "Refresh" symbol
  6. Tap your Mac's username to pair with it and follow the on-screen instructions
  7. When successfully paired; you are now ready to control!

Creating Custom Layouts

Step 1: Create a New Layout

  1. Navigate to "My layouts"
  2. Tap the + button to create a new layout
  3. Enter a name for your layout

  1. Enter Mapping Mode
  2. Tap a button, joystick or gyrostick
  3. Press any key(s) on your Mac's keyboard
  4. The key(s) will be captured and assigned to that specific button, joystick or gyrostick.
  5. Buttons are mapped to a single key and Joysticks/Gyrosticks are mapped to 4 keys(Directions: up, down, left, right)
Note: Custom layouts require iKontroller Gold. The default layout is free and supports up to 10 controls.

Device Pairing

Pairing your Mac

  1. Ensure your iPhone/iPad and Mac are on the same Wi-Fi network, Cellular network or connected via USB-C/Lightning cable.
  2. On your iPhone/iPad, navigate to Device Pairing and select your Mac's username from the nearby devices list
  3. A 6-digit code will appear on your Mac
  4. Enter this code on your iPhone/iPad
  5. The devices are now paired!
